Jeg startet som professor i eksistensiell psykologi ved MF i oktober 2020. Siden 2024 har jeg også vært Fellow ved Humanistisk Universitet Berlin, Tyskland. Jeg studerte psykologi, teologi, religionsvitenskap og filosofi i Göttingen (Tyskland), London (England), Heidelberg (Tyskland) og Cambridge (England), fikk min doktorgrad ved Universitetet i Trier (Tyskland), og ble professor i psykologi ved Universitetet i Innsbruck (Østerrike), hvor jeg også etablerte Existential Psychology Lab. Forskningen min fokuserer på eksistensielle spørsmål som mening i livet, eksistensiell helse, holdninger til død og lidelse, fremmedgjøring, religiøse/åndelige/sekulære verdensbilder og deres praktiske betydning for individer, organisasjoner, samfunn og miljø.
