“Is Your Future Predetermined?”

Do we live in a deterministic universe? If yes, there is only one possible content of the future, detemined before you were born. The majority of philosophers of time believe that the content of the future is already determined, but Atle O. Søvik will present a new argument for indeterminism from his recent book A Basic Theory of Everything at the MF CASR lunch talk 11 Oct. The question of (in)determinism is relevant for science, philosophy of time, free will, God’s relation to time, and existentially.
