Jesse Ophoff will give his public defense of the thesis
Navigating the Gospel in Latin Late Antiquity: “Evangelium” through Three Centuries of Critical Development
The public defense and the lecture will be in English.
The public trial lecture and defense will be online / streamed on Zoom

Ordinary examiners will be professor dr. Mary J. Carruthers, New York (1), and professor dr. Karla Pollmann, Bristol (2). Professor dr. Brent Nongbri is the third member of the examination committee.
The public defense will be chaired by professor dr. Liv Ingeborg Lied.
Jesse Ophoff will give the trial lecture for the degree of PhD Monday 13 June 2022 at 10:15 a.m. The title of the lecture is "The Futures of Patristics and Late Antique Studies: Methods and Goals."
Jesse will also give a MF CASR talk on 7 June with the title "Augustine on the Material Experience of Divine Learning".
