Losing my religion, or falling in and out of love with Academia

In this panel discussion, the panelists will share their experiences of moving between academic jobs and jobs in other societal sectors, and some benefits and challenges of moving in and out of the Academy. The panel will also discuss an idea that is still prevalent among many Norwegian academics, namely that an academic career is the only satisfactory option for newly minted PhDs. What other options are out there for PhDs, Postdocs and disillusioned faculty? Why should/should you not opt for a career outside the Academy? What do you do if you fall out of love with Academia?
