On February 1st 2021, the military in Myanmar carried out a coup against the civilian government. Four years later, the country is still in deep crisis characterised by armed resistance, military repression, and humanitarian suffering.
Over 550 armed resistance groups are fighting against the regime, and the military has lost control over large parts of the territory.
What is the way forward for Myanmar?
- Can the resistance movement overthrow the regime?
- What is the role of civilian society and religion in the resistance movement?
- How are children and young people affected by the ongoing war?
MF invites you to an insightful conversation about one of the world´s most complex conflicts.
