Springer Compact
"Publish and read"-agreement negotiated by Sikt.
Scope | 3-year agreement (2020-2022), starting on January 1st, 2020. The agreement has a quota for the number of open articles that can be published per year. Expenses beyond APC, such as extra pages, colour illustrations and copy editing, must be covered by the author / research group. |
Who | The corresponding author must be affiliated with MF. Corresponding author refers to the author who is responsible for submission of the article to the journal. Thus, it is not sufficient to be listed as the corresponding author in the article. Some disciplines use the term first author instead of corresponding author. For the agreement to apply, it is important that you choose MF as your affiliation when you submit the article. It is not enough that this is listed in the article, as it is the affiliation chosen in the publisher's workflow that activates the agreement. Springer author journey (PDF). |
What | The APC cost is covered in its entirety by MF. Open publishing does not entail extra costs for the researcher / research group. (APC=article processing charge). |
Licences | Articles are published with a CC licence where the author retains the rights. |
Journals | The agreement applies to the publisher's subscription journals (hybrid). These journals are included in the agreement (.xlsx). |
Exception | - Pure Open Access journals are not included in the agreement. - Journals in SpringerOpen and Nature Research are not part of the agreement. |
