My formal education is in philosophy from the University of Heidelberg and Oslo, with a main interest in philosophy of religion, history of ideas and the relationship between philosophy and theology. I am particularly interested in mysticism as a meeting point between philosophy and theology, and I am currently working on a doctoral thesis on the philosophical theology of Meister Eckhart (c. 1260-1328) as a basis for a living source of wisdom in our own time. The project is a cotutelle-collaboration between MF and Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona), and I am therefore living in Barcelona in the academic year of 25/26.
