The supervisor's endorsement is to ensure that the subject lies within the field of the program and to ensure its suitableness for a master's thesis. There is to be a written contract between the supervisor and the student, in which the supervisor endorses the subject for the master`s thesis. The contract is to be submitted digitally, usually as part of MET5010.

- agree to an academic integrity commitment statement during final submission, confirming that the thesis is self-produced
- participate in the in-depth evaluation of the course if such evaluation is stipulated in the relevant term
When course requirements are not fulfilled, this will count as one examination attempt, unless the student withdraws before the set deadline (1 May/November).

The final assessment is based on the master's thesis (18.000-24.000 words). The thesis is assessed with grades A-F.
Information about submission deadlines, the submission procedure and the specified requirements for structure, layout and references, is available at the exam pages, subcategory master’s thesis. The master’s thesis must fulfill the specified requirements to be accepted.
The examination results will be announced within 3-6 weeks after the submission deadline.
