The MF CASR annual lecture 2026 will be held by Professor Stefan Huber. The title of the lecture is «Research on Experiences of Transcendence: Theory, Method and New Findings».
This year, the annual lecture is part of a one day seminar held by Prof. Huber and Britanny Ehemann. The seminar will include a workshop where participants will explore data together with Huber and Ehemann.
The annual lecture is free and open for everyone. The following seminar is also free, but requires signing up by 18 August.

About
Stefan Huber is professor of empirical research on religion at STH Basel in Switzerland and the director of the Institute for Spirituality and Empirical Theology. His foundational research on the centrality and multidimensional structure of religiosity resulted in the development of the questionnaire for the inaugural wave of the international Religion Monitor in 2007. His other research interests include fundamentalism, spirituality, experiences of transcendence and qualitative methods for reconstructing individual belief systems.
Brittany Ehemann is a psychologist (M.Sc.) and Ph.D. Researcher at the University of Bern's Theological Faculty, where her doctoral work examines Christian flourishing within the broader field of human flourishing research. She contributes to an international longitudinal study on religiosity and well-being with the Swiss Household Panel, led by Prof. Dr. Stefan Huber (STH Basel), as well as to the Pro-Human AI Design project led by Prof. Dr. Thilo Stadelmann (CAI). She is part of the lead team of Netzwerk43, a church network in the Black Forest, Germany, and works in psychological counseling at a medical practice.
