Fredrik Saxegaard

My primary research interest is situated in the intersection of professional theory, pastoral theology and leadership studies. I have contributed to the field through a dissertation about parish priests and leadership in The Church of Norway, and through articles about pastoral theology between traditional theological and more recent empirical perspectives. I have completed research projects about youth in The Church of Norway, and about changes in funeral practices in Norway. Currently, I am involved in a project about newly educated clergy’s use of professional knowledge, and co-editor of an upcoming book about interdisciplinary PhD supervision. I am the director for The Research School Religion, Values & Society (RVS), and chief editor of Nordic Journal of Practical Theology.
