Biblical Exegesis TEOL2735
This course focuses on the interpretation of a selection of Old and New Testament texts. The aim of the course is for the students to be able apply the methods and tools learned in earlier courses and to develop their exegetical skills. Students will learn to study biblical texts from a variety of critical perspectives, including but not limited to historical-critical, literary-critical, reception-critical, feminist, and theological. Students will also learn to produce coherent exegetical papers on a selection of texts. This will not only teach the students how to study the texts presented in this course, but will establish strategies for interpreting other biblical texts.
