Existential Psychology Lab / Oslo
At the Existential Psychology Lab / Oslo, our research explores fundamental existential questions: What is a meaningful life? Is meaning always good? How can we cope with suffering, death and dying? What is existential health?
Lab Director
Our approach is grounded in empirical methods with a strong emphasis on lived experience. We conduct interviews, facilitate discussions, administer questionnaires, engage in participant observation, and test and validate interventions—integrating quantitative data with a reflexive phenomenological perspective.
Through collaboration with colleagues and study participants from diverse backgrounds and regions, we generate rich, nuanced insights into individual lived experiences and their broader impact on institutions, society, and the environment.
