In my doctoral thesis, I focus on the rebinding of Codex Sinaiticus by the British Museum in 1935.
My research shifts the focus from the ancient production of the manuscript to the modern production stakeholders who reconstructed the codex into the form in which we encounter it today.
It asks: How was Codex Sinaiticus reconstructed when it was rebound at the British Museum in 1935, and how does the binding documentation reflect the ideas, ideologies, and discourses of the Interwar Period?
