Allotment of Research Group Funds
Research groups that are planning or carrying out goal-oriented academic work can apply for financial support from the Research Committee (Forskningsutvalget).
The research group must have a leader employed at MF and will normally have several members from MF and/or other institutions. The following criteria apply to the allotment of research group funds:
- Financial support is primarily given to research groups that develop research and research publications, apply for external funding and participate in professional networks. Financial support for research groups is meant to contribute to these ends.
- A research group may apply for support for one or several endeavors. Applications are to deal with research activity within one calendar year, and it is possible for the same researcher/research group to apply for support several years in a row.
- Support is given for academic activity in the form of planning meetings, project development, seminars, travelling, etc. Support does not normally cover just conference participation without the presentation of research results or other scholarly output, or finance regular external participation in the research group's meetings. Expences for food and rent of meeting rooms should comply with the Guidelines for hospitality and representation at MF. (In Norwegian only - English version coming soon!)
- Up to NOK 40,000 can be applied for every year. Applications for amounts up to and including NOK 10,000 can be processed administratively by the pro-rector.
How to apply:
